Detailed Changes
In the section below, we will be focusing on the individual UI components for each module, accompanied by descriptions and screenshots of the new UI.
Order Book

At the top of the order book, a toolbar allows for quick filtering between show all orders, buy order only and sell order only. On the top right of the toolbar, a dropdown selector allows for grouping of orders by decimal places, which is especially useful for market pairs with small Satoshi values.

At the center of the order book, the last traded price is shown, along with corresponding USD value for easy reference. Bid and ask offer fill up the order book, starting from the center and expanding away from it, and the size of the colored bars correspond to the order size available at that price.
Charting

Price charts of each tradable asset is displayed via an integration with TradingView charts, granting AltMarket users’ instant access to a full suite of advanced charting tools.

At the top right of the charting module, users are able to toggle to the market depth chart, which displays the entire spectrum of bid and ask offers available for this asset.
Order Placement

The order placement module consists of 3 different order types, each with its own unique UI. Limit orders (as shown above) are the most common and recommended, since it has less liquidity risk compared to market orders and is simpler to use compared to stop orders. In order to reduce potential human error, buy and sell sections are split into two distinct columns, clearly distinguished by a large, color coded button.
Account Settings

List Icon

Dropdown List
By clicking on the list icon in the account settings module, a dropdown list with various account settings tools will be shown. This includes links to the user’s profile, balance and withdrawal page, support desk, and sign out.
Market Selection

The market selection module allows users to quickly filter between the asset pairs available on AltMarket, specifically TAO, USD or BTC denominated. On the top right of the module, clicking on the star will present users with a watchlist of their favorite asset pairs.
Balance

The balance modules shows the user the amount of tokens available for trading and the amount already in use, and the total token balance. This module will dynamically change according to which asset pair is selected (in the screenshot above, the current market selected is SYS-BTC).
Trade History

The trade history module displays the exchange rate, amount and date time of executed trades for the asset pair. The history is sorted from top to bottom, with the most recent on the top and least recent on the bottom.
Summary
It has been an exciting summer for AltMarket, where we embarked on a journey to revamp the exchange UI, and develop various public and private API endpoints. We have also seen the addition of two new members to the AltMarket team, and this trend will continue as the exchange grows in volume.
